I was interviewed for a TV Pilot this Saturday, June 13. The show is a ‘Lighter Side of the News’ type program, and my piece involved wearing a Zebra Snuggie and strolling the streets of Nashville during the CMA Fan Fest. It was a lot of fun, but rather warm and toasty to don the blanket with sleeves on a 90 degree June day in Music City. I’ll be providing updates, once this program is set to air.

The production company is from Dallas, and they are going Cross-Country; covering news stories that will hopefully bring a smile to viewers. This is in direct contrast to most of the news that is produced today. What better subject than the Snuggie to provide Warm Fuzzies?

I have launched a new website around another As Seen on TV product – Bumpits – the Volumizing Hair Inserts that give the wearer ‘Big Happy Hair’. The website is BumpitSightings.com.

Here’s what Bumpits have going for them, from where I sit:

• A Goofy Commercial
• People Love them Or Hate Them
• It is another All Star Marketing product (aka ‘The Snuggie People’)
• There is Humor Inherent in the Product
• Lends itself to the same marketing model as Snuggie Sightings
• Same trajectory as Snuggie

There is EXTREME interest in this product. And I cannot convey how similar the path and history of this product is to the Snuggie. One of the first TV appearances for both the Snuggie and Bumpits was on the Ellen DeGeneres show. I started @BumpItSightings ID on Twitter (Twitter is how you Engage an audience today) and within a week, it has over 1100 followers.

I have also created a Social Network for Bumpits fans. It will (hopefully) be the online pitstop for those that make ceiling fans nervous with their Bumpits hair. Here’s an example from the new site:
